As a committee we have been thinking for some time now about setting up a Women's Soft Ball cricket team. During the recent 6 aside competition down the ground on the 22nd of July we had a few ladies who played show an interest in playing more cricket.
Women Soft Ball Cricket is aimed at women that haven't played before or have limited playing experience. Oxfordshire Cricket have been running some women's soft ball festivals around Oxfordshire this year and I'm sure they will be doing the same next season. The big emphasis is on fun and enjoyment. It is aimed at women who are 14 + with no outer age limit. We are probably a bit late to set something up this year but if we have enough interest then we maybe able to set something up next season.
