Match report The 2nd XI's, second game of the season, saw them play host to Goatacre 3rds. Like the week before the team would be bowling first and like the week before, tight bowling spells from the young, quick bowlers, Chris Burgess and Jonny Gardiner, resticted early progress for the opposition, this then allowed the not so young pair of Will Townsend ( 5-15 from 6.1 overs) and Jon 'The Destroyer' Slack ( 3-18 from 6 overs), to get in amongst the wickets and wrap up the Goatacre team for what seemed a relatively low score of 90.

The batting began and after the early loss of Sabrullah, a solid partnership between Herbie Townsend-24 and Monty Green-27 guided the team to 65-1 and what seemed to be an easy victory, but at Buscot we do nothing easily. After this there was an epic collapse to 78-9 but the level-headed duo of R.Gardiner and Burgess, gave the team a nail-biting 1 wicket victory and with this the first of hopefully many wins in the season
