NORTH BRADLEY v BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB 2nd ELEVEN on Sun 20 Jun 2010 at
BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won By 5 Wickets
Match report
This weekend, the 2nds travelled to what was probably their furthest away game, North Bradley, the game was played on a Sunday.
Paul won the toss and but North Bradley into bat but this didnt seem to be a good choice as the 1st over of the innings went for 12 runs, this wasn't the only thing that had gone wrong so far, with Liam forgetting to bring his whites, and he looked rather 'village' with 'the Gardiners' spare shirt and some trackies! Apart from this the opening spells from Jonny and Namet were very good and resticted the batsmen, the first wicket came with a brilliant piece of fielding from Wahed, who run out the opening with a demon throw from mid-wicket. Brillaint fielding, catching and bowling followed with 'the spin twins', Capper and Rich tearing through North Bradley bowling them all out for 94, Rich finished with 6 for 21 and Capper 3 for 24.
With the early dismissal of North Bradley, Buscot had the chance to bat before tea, an debutant Andy Kumar, took advantage of this before gettin out for 19, this left the team precariously placed at 32 for 3 at tea. With earlier Sabrullah hitting a massive six, which didnt quite win £10 off Andy for hitting the conservatries. Tea was magnificant as is the only spread that has ever rivalled Buscot's in the expert opinions of Liam, Capper, Jonny and Rich. After tea Rob batted well but 2 quick wickets fell to leave North Bradley in with a chance with the score at 60 for 5, but the 2 Farmers' came togehter and saw 'the Park' home by 5 wickets, with Liam ins fashionable attire, 20 not out and his dad 18 not out.
Brillaint game, best performance of the season so far, 20 points, lets carry this on next week, and maybe we should play every Sunday?
