BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won by 3 runs

Match report The under 11's played their first game of the season and narrowly won in a thoroughly entertaining game. We batted first and skipper Jordan Morris soon showed his strength with the bat hitting five 4's in his 25 before having to retire.The rest of the batsman, most playing in their 1st game picked up runs with Harry Snozwell next highest with 10 not out.Extras helped out with 34 but a good batting performance left us on 97 .
The opening bowlers of Ed James and Francis Bradley bowled well with Ed picking up 3 wickets,one thanks to a great diving catch from Jordan while Francis got a deserved wicket in his last over.The Langford number 5 hit 25 but was dropped 3 times ( something to practice boys ! ) Dougie Burns bowled his 3 overs well but with 1 over left Langford needed 8 off 8 balls but the skipper showed his experience of playing in the u13 team , Langford had 3 players run out in the scramble for singles.
A great evenings entertainment with the away supporters enjoying the sun and their picnic ! while the poor manager was umpiring and scoring at the same time.
Think we will organise 'a cricket scoring evening '
