Match report The 2nd XI's first ever league game against Wanborough, despite being in the same division as them last season (both games cancelled).
2nd team league debut for Matthew Warburton.
Matthew took his 1st wicket and 1st catch for the 2nd XI.
Matthew also had an economical start to his 2nd team bowling career as his first 12 balls were dot balls (Tony Summers holds the record for the most balls bowled in a 2nd XI game before conceding his first run with 5 overs and 1 ball bowled (31 consecutive dot balls) at Cherhill in 2009. This was also Tony's league debut for the 2's).
Zak Trivedi's 3-9 is his best 2nd team league bowling figures beating his previous best of 1-19.
Aaron Court's 2 wickets now puts him onto the sheet for Top 30 2nd XI wicket takers with 19 wickets. Paul Farmer's 2 wickets has moved him up to 11th place with 56 wickets.
Andy Morbey took 4 stumpings to equal the most stumpings in a league game for the 2's, previously done by Andy at Warminster 3 in 2004.
Andy and Rob Morbey are now joint leaders of known league catches for the 2nds with 142 each (with both to add on any 1996 catches).
Jason Court finished the game in style by hitting his 1st six for the 2's.
This is the 5th game in a row we have played and won (not including the forfeited win) so the first time winning five games in a row since 2002.

***1999 updates***
2nd team information was missing both 1996 and 1999 as no scorebooks or averages sheets found. Julian has let me borrow his league handbooks, unfortunately though Buscot did not submit any information for 1996 but with the 1999 detail included in 2000 league handbook, I can now confirm ;-

Andy Morbey scored 291 runs in 1999 so has now passed 6000 known runs in 2nd XI league games (6106 currently + any from 1996).
Andy had top scores in 1999 of 68, 67 & 64 so he now has 40 known scores of 50+ for 2nd team in league cricket (5 centuries and 35 fifties but not including 1996).
Will Townsend took 24 wickets in 1999 so has now passed 600 known wickets in 2nd XI league games (612 currently + any from 1996).
Andy also had 12 dismissals in 1999 so has moved onto 268 known dismissals, 142 catches and 126 stumpings(+1996).
