TROWBRIDGE A v BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB 2nd ELEVEN on Sat 23 Aug 2008 at
BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won by 7 wickets
After last weeks fine win ,Buscot travelled to 2nd placed Trowbridge, after a few detours we arrived only to lose the toss and field on a good batting track !More tight bowling from Mike and Tony left Trowbridge struggling on 28 for 4 after 10 overs. A recovery from the middle order saw Trowbridge reach 177 all out which we would have settled for at the start of the game.
Buscot started their innings comfortably with Paul Farmer promoted up the order, we reached 54 before the skipper was out, Paul was next out for a career high off 40 (much to son Liam's disgust as he lost his bet with his dad ! ).Tony Watts continued his fine form with the bat as he and Rob Morbey took the score on from 81 for 3, with 2 overs left we still needed 27 but with some big hitting we reached out target with a ball to spare.
Glad to see our performances are peaking with just the last league game next week left !
