Match report A nice easy journey to Burbage but arrived at the ground to receive a text from Andy Capper to say that due to a diversion to Devizes they will be a bit late arriving.
Gary won toss and batted to everyone's relief.
Stuart umpiring at square leg told off by the main umpire for twittering after 3 balls.
Will Oglesby dominated the innings with a stylish 55.
Aaron was looking good and hit a big 6 but the slower bowler proved too much of a temptation.
Not much else to say about Buscot's innings.
Probably most players vote for the best away tea of the season.
Bowling was shared around with all 9 outfielders getting a bowl. Batsman whispered to his batting partner that he is the best spinner he's ever faced (Will Oglesby) but it was Mr Capper at the other end who bowled him.
Stuart then upset the umpire for the second time in the game and was warned for dangerous bowling, captain took him off to spare him being the first bowler in Buscot history (probably....) to be barred from bowling by the umpire.
Gary Thompson came onto bowl his farewell over. If it is Gary's last game played, I'm sure all at Buscot thanks Gary for his playing years at Buscot and now Gary moves on to become Buscot's groundsman.
Gary got the beers in to end his playing career and Burbage bought us a jug to join their champions celebrations.
