WITNEY SWIFTS v BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB UNDER 15s on Mon 16 Jun 2008 at 6pm
BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won 5 wickets

The team won this friendly game by 5 wickets after Matt Smith took 2 early wickets,Swifts who had changed their batting order around moved to 25 for 2 off 10 overs.Mike Brockie took 2 wickets and a sharp run out reduced them to 29 for 5 before their county player came in and soon increased the run rate.Josh Forth then took 3 wickets in an over including Swift's danger man and they reached 73 all out , with overs left Swifts number 12 and 13 came in to allow 20 overs to be bowled and they finally reached 86 for 11 !
After losing Joe Read for 4 and Josh (promoted from number 11 and soon to return there if he bats like that ! )Will Oglesby and Liam Brown pushed the score along before both retiring. We reached the target in the 15th over but continued to bat to give some batting practice and reached 93 off our 20 overs.
Good tidy bowling performances from several of our players and an improved fielding and catching display were the highlights of this match and the fact no one tried to copy Kevin Pietersen despite the pre-match bravado !
