BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB SUNDAY v KINGSTON BAGPUIZE on Sun 27 Jul 2008 at
BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won by 1 wicket
The portents were not good when the opposition skipper won his first toss in 10 (!) and elected to bat on a very hot day, but some good bowling saw them restricted to a par score of 206 for 7 off their 40 overs. 3 wickets for a hostile Ian Oglesby set the tone, well supported by Nick Babcock and George Dibble with 2 each and a miserly 8 overs for just 25 from Simon Driver.
A very decent batting effort with contributions throughout, headed by a brutal 72 from Nick Babcock, always had us in the hunt and when the experience of Hamish Millar and Andy Morbey came together for the last wicket there could only be one winner and we eventually crossed the line with 5 balls to spare.
