BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Lost by 39 runs

Match report Swindon batted first and were soon struggling to score especially off Mike Heaman as they reached 55 for 3 at the half way stage,they continued to pick up the runs steadily despite losing wickets and finished on 153 for 8. This was probably 20-30 more than they should of got but with only 10 fielders and the bad ball being put away for four we could not keep the score down. The pick of the bowlers being Mike with a spell of 12-8-12-2 ,being pretty much unplayable with only 4 scoring shots of him and one of them an edge for 4 !
The rain then started and it looked likely that the game may have not finished, we started slowly but had reached 67 at the halfway stage but had lost 4 wickets with Duncan Clarke scoring 23 and Harry Dibble 22.The rain continued to come down and boundaries became harder to score as the outfield slowed down, a middle order collapse followed and we were all out for 114 with Andy Morbey on 23 not out, with 9 overs left and 39 runs needed.
A game we could of won but with only 10 men it made a difference in the field and also in the end it cost us in the run chase and having to bat in the worst of the conditions probably didn't help.
