Dear All,
Firstly, as many of you will probably already know John Morton has decided to step down as chair of the Cricket Club. During
his chairmanship the club really prospered and the remaining committee sincerely
thank him for all the time and effort he put into the Club. We will be electing a
new Chair at our forthcoming AGM in November, details of which will be sent out soon.
The plan to hold the annual dinner at the Buscot Park Tea Rooms this year has had to be cancelled. It was with regret but it was clear that it was not going to be viable for the
club in that format this time around. However we would still like to have a club gathering to mark the end of the season and make the player awards. We will be holding a Presentation Evening in the top room of The Crown on Friday 21 October. The evening will commence at 7 pm and there will be a cold
finger buffet, a raffle and of course presentations of player trophies and awards. Please reply to this email if you want to come along so we can arrange the catering correctly. All are welcome, playing or non-playing, young or old, families and children. Please come along if you can for a beer and a bite!
And finally a reminder that we are holding our Golf Day at Wrag Barn Golf Club on Friday 14 October. We have tea/coffee and bacon roll on arrival (from 9.50am), 18 holes of golf and 2 course meal after for £40 per player. Our first tee time is at 10.20 am. Please let me know soon if you can come down and play, it promises to be a great day.
