BUSCOT PARK CC – WORKING WEEKEND

TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS

As the new season fast approaches so the preparations start.

Over the winter months some work on the pavilion has been done but it has been limited due to financial and weather conditions but with both hopefully looking brighter we are now in place to do some substantial work before the season starts - BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Over the Easter weekend (Friday 29th March to Monday 1st April) we are proposing to have a ‘working weekend to try get as much work done as we can.

We are not expecting 4 days hard labour from anyone but if you could help for a few hours, a day or two days it would be very much appreciated.

There are a variety of jobs to be done so we are sure we can find you something to do; any budding carpenters, builders, painters would be especially helpful!

Some of the jobs to be done if we can get enough volunteers:

Cladding to extension to be finished

Changing room doors and frames to be fitted (any carpenters?)

Guttering /downpipe to be fixed

Soakaways and trench to be dug (hope to have a machine to use!)

Pathway from gate to front of pavilion to be dug out and hardcore/shingle laid down

Carpets in pavilion to be removed and ply fixed to floor

Sightscreens to be moved

Outfield and surrounds to be cleared and cut

Boundary rope to be put out

Fence to be repaired

Practice Nets to be put up.

General tidy of pavilion and ground

Plus plenty of other jobs to do!!!!

Please contact John Morton, Andy Morbey or Paul Farmer if you can give any time – we look forward to seeing you there

Also , if anybody has some spare time during the week beginning Monday 25th March and wants to do a bit of work down the ground contact Andy Morbey.
