Afternoon all
For those that were not around on Sunday the Chairman's XI was victorious by a margin of 38 runs! 174 for 6 in 35 overs vs. 136 for 10 (!) in 35
However, and more importantly, we made a lot of new friends, had a good game and made a profit of very nearly £200 – new people always love playing at Buscot!
After the match Aaron Court was (in his absence) awarded The Tom Holmes Trophy as Man of the Match – 4 overs 1 for 17 in a very tidy spell and 37 runs batting
So thanks to all who contributed with ground, teas, playing, organising, etc. and here’s to the next time
Date for the diary:
We shall be holding the cricket club dinner this year on Saturday 5th October in the tea room marquee at Buscot House; menu and further details will be set out soon but please do come along - numbers limited to 64 with additional room for juniors who can have their own room and tables at a reduced rate
I hope to see you there
John
