Match report 2nd team league for Tom Slack

This week travelled to top of the table Box 2's and lost the toss on yet another green wicket and yet again put into bat. 'The Park' looked in deep trouble at 37 for 5 before Rob and Paul added 44 before Rob went and another mini collapse saw us struggling to make 3 figures with the score at 88-8 but Paul and Slacky put on a solid 33, before the skipper finally departed for a very good innings of 48. Buscot were all out for a reasonable 121.
Box started the chase slowly before reaching 40-1 off 16 overs, but then Buscot looked like they had a sniff when wickets started to tumble with top bowling for Capper taking 4 for 32 from 6.2 and yet another brilliant overseas playe Waheed taking 2 for 13 from 9 overs. It was tense but Box reached their total with 2 wickets remaining.
The Park put up another great fight in defeat and had the top team worried, a very encouraging performance.
