Match report 2nd team league debut for Tom Lawrence.

A difficult task this week to find 11 players so we made the trip to Box with 10 players. The forecast was for heavy showers later in the day. Buscot won the toss and fielded first with Liam Court taking a wicket in his 2nd over. 9-1 off 7 overs was a good start but then their batsmen decided to go for some boundaries after the first rain break. Box have some big hitting batsmen and were taking advantage of the small boundaries and the missing fielder. More rain came and so an early tea. One hour later back on to finish our bowling. Charlie Morgan took 3 wickets helped by 2 catches on the boundary by Craig Cook and Paul Farmer took 2 wickets. Box declared their innings on 238-6 from 40.5 overs. Buscot started their innings requiring 175 off 33 overs but straight back off for rain and then back on again half hour later. By this time, Buscot players were in the mood to go home but Box were keen for the victory and raced through their overs. Unfortunately Buscot raced through their innings and in the 16th over the game was lost and we were 20 all out which is a new record low score by the 2nds. Enough said.
