With the luxury of having 11 players, Rob won the toss and elected to bowl. League debutant Sharik Akhtar opened the bowling with Liam Court and it didn't take long for them both to take wickets with Devizes 9 for 5 after 6 overs. With the score at 29-7 (Sharik 4 wickets and Liam 3), Charlie Morgan came onto bowl and went on to take 3 wickets without conceding. Nick Edgington also came onto bowl in his league debut and bowled two economical overs. Devizes final score was 32 all out including 14 wides. Paul Farmer and Herby Townsend batted comfortably to score the runs in the 15th over. An early finish at 3.55pm, early tea and home to watch the first team......but they had an early finish also.

The oppositions score of 32ao off 19.2 overs is the 2nd lowest ever score against the 2nd XI. The lowest is 29ao off 19 overs by Box 2 in 2002.

Charlie Morgan's 3-0 equals the most wickets taken without conceding a run, level with Jeff Heasman who had figures of 1.2-1-0-3 at home to Berkley in 1991.
