Match report A tough game anticipated against the unbeaten league leaders, Chippenham 4ths. With 9 bowlers in the team (not including Richard Gardiner who was injured and unable to bowl) and missing a number of batsmen due to call ups to the 1st XI, family duties, holiday and a late injury, our game plan was based on keeping the opposition score down and then hoping that someone was able to get a good score.
Buscot did take early wickets but some middle order hitting and lacklustre fielding meant that Chippenham finished on 207-9 after 45 overs. Not a huge score on a good wicket and quick outfield but with an inexperienced batting line up it will be difficult to get close to this.

Charlie Morgan's 4-26 is his best 2nd team league bowling figures beating his previous best of 3-0. Unlucky not to get a 5th wicket when the ball hit the bails but they did not leave the stumps.
Matthew Lawrence took his first catch for the 2's in league cricket and Sanjay Trivedi took his first two catches for the 2nd's.

Charlie's 4-26 has set a new record for the 2nd's best bowling figures in Division 9 beating Patrick Slack's 4-38 away at Goatacre 4's in 2016 (our first season in Div 9).
