BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won

Match report Ducklington won the toss and decided to bat. A strong bowling start from Buscot saw Ducklington fall to 18 for 3 in the 8th over. Tom Costley then arrived at the wicket and proved to be the best batsman for Ducklington. Wickets continued to fall but Costley continued and eventually retired on 30. Ducklington ran out of batsmen and finished on 69 after 19 overs. Rob O'Kelly took 3 for just 6 runs in his 4 overs, wickets too for Luther Ward, Harry Stevens, Nic Moody and George Buck. Jack Tomes, making his Buscot debut, had a run out after an excellent throw to the stumps. Harrison Brown saved a certain four, but gained a large bruise having stopped the ball with his foot!!
Buscot then took to the crease, with a strong and steady start from Nic Moody and Harry Stevens. Harry was bowled in the 12th over and Toby Dibble continued to support Nic Moody. They reached the target of 70 in th last ball of the 15th over, with Nic on 25 and Toby on 8. An excellent performance from the team for the opening match of the season!!
