BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Lost 45 RUNS

Match report In their first 40 over game of the season ,Buscot bowled first with openers Louis Bouwers and Ollie Parsons holding Oxford to 24 for 1 after 10 overs.The next 20 overs were not so tight as the other bowlers struggled in the windy conditions as Oxford reached 157 for 3 off 30.The last 10 overs saw Oxford push on and with the bowling and fielding not at its usual good standard they reached 228 for 7 off their overs.Oliie Parsons being the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets, also Richard Stevens picking up his first wicket of the season in his one over.The general feeling was that we gave them 30 - 40 runs more than we should of done.
Buscot's openers Will Oglesby and Joe Read gave us a steady start before Will went with the score on 44.The scoring slowed down as Buscot struggled to put the bad ball away and with 10 overs left we needed 100 with 4 wickets down.Liam Brown and Harry Dibble put on a promising stand but both went in the same over and it was left to Ollie Parson to score a quick 21 before he was last man out in the final over with the score on 183. That feeling at lunch break proved correct !
A good batting performance to score 183 although we let ourselves down a bit in the field but with seven Under 14's in the team against a strong Under 15 team it was a very satisfactory performance.
