BUSCOT PARK CRICKET CLUB Won by 112 runs

Match report Corsham came to Buscot unbeaten , their skipper put us into bat but were to rue that decision as Hamish and Monty soon found the boundaries ,Hamish was on 32 and in the 6th over when he hit a cracking off drive straight into the hands of their captain. Monty continued to play 'Monty style' including one reverse paddle for four runs, he was finally stumped after reaching his maiden 50 for the club(That means you buy a jug of beer! ).Duncan more sedately reached his 50 while Mr Chairman used his bat more gracefully than his sledgehammer in top scoring with 69.
Corsham never looked like chasing the 266 Buscot had set , Namat picked up the 1st wicket , while Chris B and 'Stan' picked up 3 wickets each, Chris Morton playing his first game of the season also picked up a wicket. A more comfortable win than expected kept the side top of the league but with only 3 (least amount so far this season !) players dropping out for next weeks match at Westbury need to keep the momentum going.
