Match report The u13 side started their season with a convincing win against a very inexperienced Witney side, Jeremy and Will P put on 52 before Will was caught for 19, Jeremy continued onto get his 30 retired including one 6. George came in and also hit some good boundaries in his 30 retired. Tom batted well for his 14 n.o while Jordan hit three 4's in the last over.
Oscar and Kalam opened with some good tidy bowling ,Oscar picking up 2 wickets and Kalam 1, Jordan bowled 2 good overs of leg spin while Alex Edgington took 3 wickets for 2 runs.
The ground fielding looked sharp and resulted in 2 run outs while all the catches were taken , the team generally kept their positions in the field and good captaincy from Jeremy and Will P made sure all the team got a chance with bat or ball.
A good start to the season , harder games will follow but a lot of promise from the younger players in the squad was good to see.
