Match report 2nd team league debuts for Andy Tollington and Patrick Slack.

The 2nds managed to get 11 players to make the long trip to Heytesbury thanks to Patrick and Oliver Slack.The side bowled 1st and were doing reasonably well but with the opposition's first team not playing it came as no surprise that when their number 6 came in to bat the game changed.He hit 81 off 101 balls with 59 runs coming off the last 4 overs to reach 227 for 5.
This score was always going to be out of reach especially after we collapsed to 37 for 5 with Stuart Lovegrove(brother of 1st team player Rob and ex-Faringdon cricketer/footballer) taking 3 wickets.Skipper Andy Morbey came in at 6 and with Mike Heasman and Paul Farmer slowly helped the scoreline become more respectable.The Slack family then helped to prevent us being bowled out .
Players of the match -Patrick and Oliver Slack ,without them we would have lost 10 points

Andy Morbey's score of 59no is his 27th score of 50+ for the 2nd XI in league cricket (4 centuries and 23rd fifty, 12 at home and 15th away) - not including 1996 as no information available for that season.
