Match report The long trek to high flying Hinton saw us having to bowl first on a good batting track, 15 year olds Josh Kirk and Josh Forth opened the bowling and did well as the score reached 32 off the first 10 overs.Mike Heasman and John Slack took over but despite getting some of their dangerous batsman out,the Hinton batting line up was strong as they reached 254 for 5.
The 2nds never looked like getting near the score but had reached 50 for 1 when the rain came down, despite a cover going on, when play resumed 40 minutes later the damp track caused more problems as we crawled to 151 for 9.Well done to both Slack boys who both finished on 1 not out,also to their dad who got his first run of the season, while both Josh Kirk and Forth took their first league wickets of their career.
